ANYONETHING
research phase for 3rd production in temporality series
ANY ONE THING is a durational dance installation for four bodies centered around a wooden ramp - a beach, a meadow, a hill, a pool, in which distorted bodies reside and move. It is a horizontal playing field that can be entered and observed by the audience from different perspectives and is the third and final work in my choreographic series about illogical intimacies and radical temporalities (after FIGURED, 2018 and FLUSH, 2020). The conceptual framework of ANY ONE THING is inspired by Gilles Deleuze's idea of the “void” (interstice), in which both time and space “drift off” and a purely linear plot is abandoned, opening up new ways of reading situations. The choreographic research for ANY ONE THING focuses on the idea of the suspended body or suspension as temporality (void/suspension/interruption as temporality).
Research in development with: the performers Annegret Schalke, Ixchel Mendoza Hernandez and Lisa Densem. Costume and set design by Michiel Keuper, Sound composition: Stellan Veloce, Dramaturgy: Mila Pavicevic. Production Elena Polzer. ANY ONE THING is supported by NPN production grant. |
